Our first MotW of the new year, and the second in a row by Charlie Kaufman. Synecdoche, New York was Robert Ebert's choice for best movie of the decade and has been the subject of much divisive discussion. A tragicomedy set in NY, Synecdoche, New York stars Phillip Seymour Hoffman as a playwright attempting to build the greatest piece of work of his life, and at the same time find meaning in his existence.
